The third match of the sixth season of PSL was played in Karachi on Sunday in which Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans by three wickets.

The third match of PSL between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans was played in Karachi on Sunday in which United won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat first.

Multan Sultans scored 150 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs while Islamabad United achieved the target at the beginning of the last over for the loss of seven wickets.

Mohammad Rizwan also scored his first half century of the PSL season but could not lead the team successfully. The captain of Multan Stans was dismissed for 71 runs.

Islamabad's dismissals include Phil Salt, captain Shadab Khan, Alex Hales, Asif Ali, Talat Hussain and Fahim Ashraf. For Islamabad United, Sohail Tanveer's 19th over became the guarantee of victory in which Louis Gregory played 150 consecutive boundary strokes and scored 150 runs. Gregory scored 49 runs and was declared the best player of the match.

Mohammad Rizwan thinks his team could not finish their innings properly and he could have scored about 15 more runs.

The highlight of today's match is that Shahid Afridi has proved to be a difficult bowler for Islamabad United. He not only showed the way to the pavilion to the three players but also slowed down the runs, which led to a one-stage defeat for the Islamabad team.

Remember that Islamabad is the last number one team of last year while Multan was the third number. So far six matches have been played between the two teams and both have won three.

The highlight of this match is that Shaun Masood, who led Multan Sultans last year, is sitting on the bench today. In the last PSL, Shaun Masood had scored 283 runs. His highest score was 61.

In the second match of PSL, Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets

The second match of the sixth season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been played in Karachi today, in which Lahore Qalandars got a target of 141 runs to win against Peshawar Zalmi.

Lahore Qalandars scored 141 runs for the loss of six wickets in the 19th over. The Lahore Qalandars players who have been dismissed include captain Sohail Akhtar, Fakhr Zaman, Agha Salman, Ben Dunk, Samat Patel and David Visay.

Muhammad Hafeez performed responsibly on behalf of Lahore Qalandars. He scored 33 off 26 balls and remained unbeaten while Rashid Khan scored 27 runs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has been declared the best player of the match.

Peshawar Zalmi scored 140 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. After initial setbacks in the top order, Ravi Bopara and Sharfin Rutherford formed a 50-run partnership. Ravi Bopara stood out among all the batsmen thanks to his half century.

Shaheen Afridi took three wickets while debutant Salman Mirza took two wickets.

اسلام آباد یونائیٹڈ اور ملتان سلطانز کے درمیان پی ایس ایل کا تیسرا میچ اتوار کراچ میں کھیلا گیا جس میں یونائیٹڈ نے ٹاس جیت کر ملتان سلطانز کو پہلے بیٹنگ کی دعوت دی ہے۔

20 اوورز میں آٹھ وکٹ کے نقصان پر ملتان سلطانز نے 150 رنز بنائے جبکہ یہ ہدف اسلام آباد یونائیٹڈ نے سات وکٹ کے نقصان پر آخری اوور کے آغاز میں ہی حاصل کر لیا۔

محمد رضوان نے پی ایس ایل کے اس سیزن کی اپنی پہلی نصف سینچری بھی کی مگر ٹیم کو کامیابی سے ہمکنار نہ کرا سکے۔ ملتان سطانز کے کپتان 71 رنز بنا کر آؤٹ ہوئے۔

اسلام آباد کے آؤٹ ہونے والے کھلاڑیوں میں فل سالٹ، کپتان شاداب خان، ایلکس ہیلز، آصف علی، طلعت حسین اور فہیم اشرف شامل ہیں۔ اسلام آباد یونائیٹڈ کے لیے سہیل تنویر کا 19 واں اوور جیت کی ضمانت بن گیا جس میں لوئس گریگوری نے مسلسل باؤنڈری سٹروک کھیل کر 150 کا حساب چکا دیا۔ گریگوری نے 49 رنز بنائے اور میچ کے کے بہترین کھلاڑی قرار دیے گئے۔

محمد رضوان کے خیال میں ان کی ٹیم ٹھیک انداز میں اپنی اننگز کا خاتمہ نہ کر سکی اور وہ تقریباً 15 رنز اور بنا سکتے تھے۔

آج کے میچ کی خاص بات شاہد آفریدی کا اسلام آباد یونائیٹڈ کے لیے ایک مشکل باؤلر ثابت ہونا ہے۔ انھوں نے نہ صرف تین کھلاڑیوں کو پویلین کی راہ دکھائی بلکہ رنز کی رفتار کو بھی کم کر دیا تھا، جس سے اسلام آباد کی ٹیم پر ایک مرحلے پر شکست کے بادل منڈلانا شروع ہو گئے تھے۔

خیال رہے کہ اسلام آباد گذشتہ سال کی آخری نمبر کی ٹیم ہے جبکہ ملتان تیسرے نمبر پر رہی تھی۔ ابھی تک دونوں ٹیموں کے درمیان چھ میچز کھیلے گئے ہیں دونوں نے تین تین جیتے ہیں۔

اس میچ کی خاص بات یہ ہے کہ گذشتہ سال ملتان سلطانز کی قیادت کرنے والےشان مسعود آج بینچ پر بیٹھے ہیں۔ گذشتہ پی ایس ایل میںشان مسعود نے 283 رنز بنائے تھے۔ ان کا سب سے زیادہ اسکور 61 رنز تھا۔

پاکستان سپر لیگ (پی ایس ایل) کے چھٹے سیزن کا دوسرا میچ آج کراچی میں کھیلا گیا ہے، جس میں لاہور قلندرز کو پشاور زلمی کے خلاف جیت کے لیے 141 رنز کا ہدف ملا۔

لاہور قلندرز نے چھ وکٹوں کے نقصان پر 19 ویں اوورز میں 141 رنز کا ہدف حاصل کر لیا۔ لاہور قلندرز کے آؤٹ ہونے والے کھلاڑیوں میں کپتان سہیل اختر، فخر زمان، آغا سلمان، بین ڈنک، سمت پٹیل اور ڈیوڈ ویزے شامل ہیں۔

لاہور قلندرز کی جانب کی سے محمد حفیظ نے ذمہ دارانہ پرفارمنس کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ انھوں نے 26 گیندوں پر 33 رنز بنائے اور ناٹ آؤٹ رہے جبکہ راشد خان نے 27 رنز بنائے۔

شاہین شاہ آفریدی کو میچ کا بہترین کھلاڑی قرار دیا گیا ہے۔

پشاور زلمی نے 20 اوور میں چھ وکٹوں کے نقصان پر 140 رنز بنائے۔ ٹاپ آرڈر میں ابتدائی ناکامیوں کے بعد روی بوپارا اور شرفین ردرفورڈ کے درمیان 50 رنز کی شراکت قائم ہوئی۔ روی بوپارا اپنی نصف سنچری کی بدولت تمام بلے بازوں میں نمایاں رہے۔

شاہین آفریدی نے تین جبکہ ڈیبیو کرنے والے سلمان مرزا نے دو وکٹیں حاصل کیں۔
